Warren Cooper // Director of Corporate and Commercial Banking // Natwest
Warren has over 29 years experience in the banking industry and for the past 5 years has headed up the commercial banking team at Natwest responsible for the West Sussex Coast. Along with his team comprising 15 Relationship Managers across offices in Worthing and Chichester he is responsible for and passionate about supporting local businesses in their growth and development. Prior to this he worked in a variety of banking roles across Sussex. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Scotland. He is delighted to be involved in Young Start-Up Talent.
Dr Martin Warner // Bishop // Chichester Cathedral
Dr Warner studied at St Chad’s College in Durham before completing his theological training at St Stephen’s House, Oxford. He moved north to the Midlands in 1988 to be Team Vicar for five years in the Parish of the Resurrection, Leicester before being elected to be the Priest Administrator of the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham between 1993-2002. During his time in Norfolk he was also priest in charge of Hempton and Pudding Norton between 1998-2000. He was appointed Honorary Canon of Norwich between 2000-2002.
Dr Warner was then appointed as a residentiary Canon of St Paul’s Cathedral in London, firstly as Canon Pastor and latterly Treasurer where he made a big contribution particularly with regards to the Cathedral’s connection with the art world (2003-2010). He was elected as suffragan Bishop of Whitby in the Diocese of York in 2010 and has served the parishes of the Cleveland archdeaconry which includes the contrasting communities of Middlesbrough and much of the North Yorkshire Moors.
Matt Turner // Managing Director // Creative Pod Ltd
Matt started his own business at just 20 years old and won young entrepreneur of the year and Business Person of the Year at the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards. Matt is MD of Creative Pod who are a leading design, marketing and print agency based in the South East. As one of the initiators of Young Start-up Talent. Matt is passionate about encouraging enterprise and other young people to start their own business.
Lorraine Nugent // Managing Director // Media Word Waves
Lorraine Nugent heads up a leading public relations agency, Media Word Waves, based in the South East. Lorraine has no shortage of expertise in media relations. Lorraine has developed strong links in both local and national media. Previously, Lorraine worked at both Price Waterhouse Coopers and Deloittes in their marketing Departments.
As one of the original initiator’s of this project, Lorraine is in the community to further inspire and create employment opportunities.
Ben Towers // CEO // Towers Design // Social Marley
At just 17 Ben is CEO of multi-award winning digital agency – Towers Design and social media managing platform – Social Marley and has recently become a non-executive director of Young Start-up Talent. Ben is one of the UK’s most successful young entrepreneurs and has had great success as a worldwide keynote speaker. He has recently been named by Richard Branson as one of the worlds most exciting entrepreneurs as well as being placed as Number One in The Times ‘Super Teen Power List’.
Councillor Gillian Keegan
Gillian has lived and worked abroad during an international business career which has spanned more then 25 years. During this time sheworked in the manufacturing, finance and technology sectors in a variety of executive commercial roles.
Gillian is also an investor and supporter of start-up technology businesses through her ties with London Business School where she studied in 2010.
She has a BA (Honours) Degree in Business Studies and a MSc in Leadership and Strategy.
